This page shows portraits of members of 72nd Troop Carrier Squadron. Unfortunately at the time of creating this page, the names of these men are not known.
Some years ago I received a huge photo album that included photos of the combat crew members of the 72nd TCS C-47s. The photos are date April 1944.
Some of the men wear a jacket that has a name. This helps to identify the person in the picture. However, the photos also show that two men wear a jacket with the name tag of S/Sgt. Eugene R. Hunter. This is evidence that it is possible that members picked up a jacket for the photo, which was not their own jacket. Thus, it is wise to keep this in mind and not follow such lead blindly.
